    Duty Uniforms Dress Uniforms
As with the other duty uniforms, the security and engineering gold-colored suit was essentially the same as its predecessor. This version of the uniform differed from its predecessor in that it had a stand-up collar on which the rank pips were displayed. The colored braiding that had been on the black shoulders was removed. It was worn by both male and female officers. Unlike the previous all-in-one suit, this was a two-piece uniform with separate top and pants. The Starfleet insignia kept its place on the left of the chest. This updated version of the uniform kept the vent at the front of the pants.

As with the duty suit, the dress uniform also came in departmental colors with blue again representing the medical and science divisions. These more formal outfits were normally reserved for occasions such as ceremonies and diplomatic functions. As with the other dress uniforms, it was worn with the familiar black pants and black boots that were worn with the standard duty uniform. The Starfleet communicator badge was worn on the left-hand side of the dress uniform jacket. Rank insignia was displayed on the right shoulder of the dress uniform.

    Captain's Uniforms Captain's Variant
By the late 2360’s a captain had several different uniforms to choose from. They could wear the standard red command uniform, or this variant that featured a gray shirt with black shoulders. The four round pips that denoted rank were worn on the collar. This gray captain’s shirt kept in line with the other style of uniform by having a stand-up collar.

This version of the captain’s uniform had a more formal look and featured a red, hip-length jacket with ribbed, black shoulders. It was worn unfastened over a gray undershirt, and could be easily discarded if the captain needed to perform more hands-on tasks. This style of captain’s uniform had a separate undershirt to the pants as well as the overjacket.
